97 2cx drives normally in gears one and two but getting some slippage in three and four, new oil and filters changed recently.
I’m thinking it could be electrical all opinions welcome.

It will be clutch packs and seals worn and low pressure. Electric is just on or off nothing inbetween.

Thanks for that,is there much involved in replacing packs both in labour and parts.

If i recall right your the one thats been deep in the back end of a TW? so it'll be a walk in the park for you!, just need to watch out for bearings spinning in the casings and where the shaft seals sit in the casings for wear and scoring to the bores. the casings can be bored and sleeved no problem.

I myself just send them off to a nice chap to do it for me and dyno test them, then i get on with something else while i wait its return.

Afraid I’ve never been in the backend of a TW,but at the same time I wouldn’t be afraid to tackle the 2cx either.

So back to this again,I’ve sourced a service exchange transmission.
What’s the best way to pull out the old tranny and fit the exchange unit,is it a cab off job.
Not much room around them so I’d imagine it won’t be easy.
