hi i have just fitted a repacement borg warner shuttle box in to my teleporter,everything works but i carnt seem to get the dump clutch to work. anybody know what to do???

yes the shuttle works .but you carnt change from 1st 2nd 3rd with the engine running. but you can without it running. it may be that the dump valve is stuck. this shuttle box came of a scrapper so its been stood for a while. i hope to have a look at the d/valve this weekend

Well i should think there is a fair chance the spool is not being moved by linkage after refit. Important that the machine is not operated with the dump partially opened as this will lead to premature clutch wear. I was told years ago that the early shuttles suffered problems with drivers feathering when a mechanical linkage was used rather than electric solenoid. As long as its driving OK a temporary solution is merely to knock it out of forward when changing gear.
