JCB 525 STARTER MOTOR

Has anyone priced up a proper starter motor for this machine , Lucas are an embarrasment .
Got 2 iskras on the fords and they're marvellous .

What like a old 525-58 or similar?

I keep the Perkins engine ones gear reduction 3.0 or 4.2 kw

They are only cheapest on there own JCB engine not a perkins

Well had to do it today , fitted a Mahle 4.2 kw , bit of a pig to fit but the results are fab .
