I will see if i have the solenoid sequence which will get you started.
I assume its a powershift?

Yes, is a power shift we have checked all the usual switch cable filter oil exc all ok the last one of these it was an internal seal/pipe had failed that caused the problem but that was on a machine that was only 18 months old was a pig to do back then and I am a lot older now not so easy to squeeze into those tight places. Never had this problem again with any of the other JCB’s Manitou’s Merlo’s we service. Just thought someone might know of a common fault that has recurred over the years that I am not aware of before we try to get to the solenoids. If you can find the sequence that would be a great help it’s this type of reply I was looking for.

Cheers

One thing I have learnt over the last 50 years is. Never be afraid of asking advice. And you’re never too old to learn

Right this might be it? its actually for the transmission in a powershift sanderson TL6and TL7 or the Claas versions and possibly the Matbro and Terex TR200. There are lots of variations of these transmissions though and yours is going to be a bit newer than this? but I think it will be the same and you only got to check the known working gears on yours against this and if they match up then chances are the others will too.

Agree trans solenoids are a pig to get to on the 526s, certainly the 526s on a 56plate I had once was.
on that you could remove all the crap in the back of the engine bay and get in the back to the top of the trans a bit, would certainly be able to see the transmission at least! as cant see sod all from any other angle! much like them horrid sanderson TL6 and TL7 things!

Annoying but I don't have fig.2 picture showing the test ports for each clutch pack:mad:

Also just noticed you said its R reg so about the right age compared to the sandersons and matbros etc so info is almost certainly to be correct or at least stands a very good chance!
