JCB 526-56 slow loading

Teleporter is new to us, 62 reg.
Boom is slow to extend and forward motion while extending boom just not possible when you're trying to load which is making progress slow. Having to rev the nuts off while stationary to get the boom high enough.

Oil level is ok and no whining from the pump.

Any ideas to what it might be appreciated.

Right, fitter out today. Could be spool bank or hydraulic pump. Hydraulic kill switch not working so could be connected or possible electric problem? Was hoping to narrow it down a bit more. Hyd pump flow being checked next to establish whether pump is the problem. Going to be costly either way.

Is there a big difference between price of JCB pump vs OEM or recon?

Can't see that a pump would go suddenly to be honest.

We have just renewed the steering pump and main hydraulic pump on an old 525 58 JCB, but the steering had been getting heavy for some time, and the hydraulics had also been progressively sluggish for a couple of years.
Both are now much improved, but I cannot think that either pump would suddenly just become weak?

I won't say our loader has the same fault, as it's fine, but once or twice, it's produced the same symptoms as you have @Mounty , presumably yours has a variable pump?

Machine starts and runs fine, but no hyd flow, like the pump won't swash, no amount of revving will bring it to life! Things move, but very very slowly....

Switch off, and then restart, and is then fine. I just put it down to the ecu having an blip, funny five minutes, weird.....

Probably only ever done it a handful of times, but it must be something either ecu controlled or electrical? I did mention it to the fitter, iirc, he thought it was just an occasional glitch, and as it cleared once it was switched off and on again, then it wasn't much to worry about, hasn't done it for quite a while.....it will do it tomorrow now, just you wait and see!(n):)

So possibly it's an ecu fault or something connected to it?
Have you tried disconnecting the battery, then reconnecting?....sounds to easy, but you never know!

It wasn't right but has got worse. We've not had it long as bought for this season so probably had an issue before we got it.

Almost........ spent £3000 on a new hydraulic pump and a few ancillaries. Work completed by dealer on the Thursday afternoon and then it was stolen from our yard that weekend so never had a chance to find out!

We’ve just had a very similar problem with ours. We lost all hydraulic functions. Changed the pump which cost £600 odd from a place top side of Birmingham same make as original, we regained steering from doing that but nothing else. Turns out it was the pressure relief valve in the bottom of the spool block which I believe was circa £140 and now it’s back to new again. Ours is a 61 plate with around 7000 hours
