I have a recurring problem when the machine is operating in the rain. When reverse is selected, it starts beeping however before it moves the beeping stops and it won't reverse.
forward is no problem however it seems to only occur when operating in the rain.
Has anyone got experience with this or a solution? much appreciated

Not sure about the 2014 date, my 527-58 is 1990's.
The electric solenoids are under the front of the bonnet, to the front of the air filter. If they get wet or if other electrics get wet and cause a short then the extra current needed to put the reverse lights and bleeper on can mean there's not enough current to activate the reverse gear fully.
It can also happen if the alternator / battery voltage is low.
Is the alternator belt slack and slipping when wet?
Thats a bitch to get to at the back of the engine. Don't forget the boom safety prop.
