Been up feeding the cattle when suddenly the loader won't go up or down , it won't crowd and the third service doesn't function . I switched off and left a few seconds and away it went . 20 mins later same thing and now it won't go at all .....any suggestions
Advance warning .....I am not in the least bit mechanical !!

Might be worth starting with basics. Check battery condition, if output ok check terminals, connections earths. Had a similar problem with JD combine that ended up being an intermittent isolater connection.
JCB ignition switches can go down too. Good luck

My combine did the same. Bad connection on isolator, fitted new one sorted it. Sometimes it would start but no hydraulics, other times wouldn't start at all, intermittent, went on for nearly a year before I finally sorted it.

Hi old is the machine?
Does the dash show the controls status? As in tier 4 machine with yellow dash screen.

before you try anything, test the red emergency loader stop button and there is a rocker switch with the same function.
Do these work when you cycle them?
On second thoughts do not try these on Sunday morning as if fault and will not cure then not ideal.

check all the switches in case something’s been pressed by accident.

I have had a 536 with same symptoms, went from fine to no boom functions at all. However it didn’t come back on after being turned off.

It was the pump ☹️

Got a 536-70. Does exactly the same except “Can bus fault” error appears on dash. Though we had tracked it down to a dodgy multi plug connector in the wiring loom. Problem disappeared for a few weeks but has now returned. Doesn’t do it all the time and will usually clear with a restart, but took four attempts to get it to go the other day. Doesn’t help that every wire is yellow with a code number that is difficult to read.
