Jcb brake pipes

My jcb 520s has hub brakes, same as the old 526. Steel brake pipes to just above the axle, then hydraulic pipes to the hub to allow the axles to steer. I replaced all 4 last march after new ones supplied by jcb failed after a few months. Well one has just failed tonight, and the others dont look that they will last much longer.

Anyone else having the same problem ? I would have thought genuine pipes should last whey more than 9 months !

The original pipes probably lasted 10 years plus! Out of intrest can you see the spec printed on the pipes? Should be a 2 wire compact hose ,about 1/4" in size, the compact hose (2SC) can flex to a smaller radius than the normal (2SN) hose

1SN is a single wire pipe, and not so flexable as a SC, try and get some replacements made up with 2SC pipe . Some online websites let you order the pipes made up to length ,with the fittings of your choice, and not too bad on price.

I phoned local dealer this morning, ive ordered two new ones for now and asked if they would be covered by jcb parts warranty, as having an important part as a brake hose fail after 9 months is not acceptable.
Im hoping as they are fairly new, the little thin steel pipe that goes from the hose to the hub will stay intact, as they usually twist and colapse geting the hoses off.
Shows i dont have much confidence in the setup, as i have 3 blanking fittings still in the cab from last time.

On Thursday 26th September, we’re holding a webinar for farmers to go through the guidance, actions and detail for the expanded Sustainable Farming Incentive (SFI) offer. This was planned for end of May, but had to be delayed due to the general election. We apologise about that.

Farming and Countryside Programme Director, Janet Hughes will be joined by policy leads working on SFI, and colleagues from the Rural Payment Agency and Catchment Sensitive Farming.

This webinar will be...
