Hi All,

I've a 2001 js160. It's slow to slew and left track almost doesn't work. When I activate a service and track the machine seams to work nice. Its had a brand new pump and it's no different.

Is there anything obvious I should be looking at?

Seals go in slew ring motor is it losing oil mysteriously? Drive motors are probably of that age too. Why did you replace the pump?

The old owner assumed the pump was the fault.
It's a JCB JC160 2001

Does loose a small amount of oil and also sounds like its cavitating slightly

Slew motor can do seals, it leaks internally into the turret. Get your oil tested, no good doing pump if something was making metal to wreck it. Worth putting gauges on it as it could be a multitude of issues causing your bother. Track motors aren't the best on them.
