We Have a 2016 model JCB 531-70 with air con. It seems to blow warm air even with the dial turned to the cold position, anybody ever encounter this problem before?

Possibly but surely regardless of air con, the fan should not be blowing warm air? im not expecting it to be ice cold , but the cab is actually cooler with no fan on than when its turned on in the cold position .

What triple said above. Ours used to run all summer with a brake pipe clamp on the hot pipe to the matrix..... now has a ball tap plumbed in-line. Generally the adjusting valve looks to be working but in reality doesn't do anything to adjust the flow.

Heater tap failed or cable broke. Or if like it from new consider that it could be the system is piped up wrong way round?

Had machines before with tap on the wrong side and allows heat to transfer up to the heater box.

To the OP - is the compressor and condenser fans running at all???? Please provide more info than you have done..

I do agree the heater taps do leak, but the a/c would at least blow cold until the engine starts from warm up...

Amazes me you think a Manitou is any better. Had an MLA before our last TM320S- it was junk! On second TM now, both been fantastic

In the past Manitou used alot of British stuff! And probably still would if CAT hadn't stuck there nose in!
Engines made in Peterborough, transmissions and 90 deg gearboxes made in Leicester for many years. All changed now though thanks to CAT.

Thanks for all the replies
Yes air con is cutting in , I must do the cold test upon startup though to double check. Most likely a failed tap, I must take a look next week and investiagte.
Happy enough with our JCB , just wish someone would come up with an ad blue delete for these machines, as its constantly firing error codes and going into limp mode......
