Just venting my anger again !
How the hell can Jcb claim to be a global force in manufacturing when their brake hoses cant even last a few months !
When the warranty is over on these set of hoses, im going elswhere.

If you could keep the spring on the ferrule it would stand half a chance! pipes probably too long IMO? maybe a short bit of adhesive heat shrink over the ferrule to help support the rubber hose so it bends further back would be better? couple of layers should do the trick?

Makes no difference, spring was on the rear one, still went. I would have to check, but i think the first blew at about 150 hrs after being fitted this second one is less than 40 hrs on top of that. Every one goes within an inch of the ferrule, poor quality hose not able to withstand the tight radius it goes through.
Im sure someone has told me to get some made up using gates megaflex pipe, and go down a size in pipe to 1/4 inch, that they would last much much longer, not sure on the braking performance though

Just a crap design, and crap hoses, the ones on the rear do get some abuse though !

Looks like your rear hub seal might be starting to leak there too

That what im going to do next time but in 1/4 inch pipe, theres a non standard hose tail that my local hydraulic guy couldn't get in a hurry last time, so thaught i would get a quality part off jcb
Jcb and my local guy were in pence of each other in price anyway.

Thats the spilt hydraulic oil after bleeding the brakes

Eugene is on his fecking hols again. I was away with a blown JIC to BSP hose for the baler the other day, 3 different men before I was sorted. Felt like I was asking for fly fishing by JR Hartley..

Character alright, haven’t seen him in years TBH, yet to see Mahon beat for selection of fittings tbh and his pipes are good.

Make sure it is a 2SC pipe, and not a 2SN , SC is a smaller outside diameter, but with the ability to flex to a much tighter radius.
