Jcb tm270 hydraulics

Got a bit of a problem with it putting air into the hydraulic oil....anyone had this at all...gone through the suction side of it thoroughly and a bit stumped at present.it will shoot oil from the raised up breather after a few minutes of high engine rpm...and with inspection cover off the tank it is foaming and blurting air into the tank from the looks of it.

Pump shaft seals? Got a Redrock handler with a small brake pump on engine putting air in oil some how.

Got 30e massey that does exactly the same. Checked all suction side and cant get it fixed. Made an extra oil expansion tank cause couldnt keep enough oil in her to operate the loader but would like to fix her right if any1 has any ideas or seen this in one of them b4

Could there be a hose collapsing internally forcing it to draw air?

No its steel pipe between oil tank and pump

Yeah but iv already replaced them and put on new jubilee clips and o rings but still cant get where its drawin air. Real frustratin

Is there a suction filter in the tank?

Yes it was replaced at time i replaced rubber fittings

Never tryed that what bearin would that have?

blocked breather causing it to suck air from somewhere else

Found our problem,thanks for all the advice.shaft seals are allowing air to get sucked in,shame really as the pump works fine but upon dismantling the pump body itself the input shaft has grooves in it where the seals run so new seals won’t cure it....ah well it’s only my money! Pump is a Parker 9142N C4400001 101063 20/918600 if anyone knows where to get one aside from jcb.sat our old one in the vice and filled it with oil and it’s running through even when not rotating.

Ah and thanks for the high power starter a few months ago acengineering.its a wonderful bit of gear.revolutionised cold starting on it.

Could you get the shaft polished and fit a slightly oversized seal? I have seen it done on a gear pump, although the oil was going out of it, not air in like yours.

Yes,good idea,maybe worth a try ....will see price of a new pump first,owes me little as its on 12000 hours,and it’s a fairly precise fit from the look of it.its not just a scratch either,it’s a proper mark on the shaft.

Low amp tig weld the groove and turn it back to original size?

I think hyd pump is same as a matbro ts270?

It’s the aluminium cased auxiliary pump,steering and brakes ,not the main pump.
