I've got one (tractor and a manual) Not willing to sell either, but happy to offer advise or scan some pages from the manual to help out.

Cracking little tractor the 1140. Ours is knocking on the door of 30k hours.

Yes, that would be great, a scan of the controls and hydraulic operation would be a great help. It needs a new battery and starter, do you know the number of the battery and part number for the starter as I haven't got it home yet.

An 1140 and all similar will run with Super Farm Universal Oil in (we use Morris as a brand). It's ok in both the engine and transmission. It's probably better than Hygard as it's a bit thicker. Depending age and options you have a few internal leaks..
