Jd 1550 linkage cross shaft seals

Got a leak is it easy job changing them

I assume you mean the load control shaft (through the bottom of the transmission case)??
Drain the oil, remove the arms, pull the shaft to one side, replace the exposed seal, repeat on the other side..
Check for wear / pitting on the shaft. A new shaft and bushes is sometimes a better solution

Seals can be hooked out new ones have been updated.

Worst part is getting the pins and collars off the shaft if they're seized on. Other than that a straightforward job.

You'll have the to remove the stabiliser chain brackets from the axle to replace the shaft. There's an art to the removing the bushes...
Some 3/4 round bar and a screwdriver was my technique of choice,,,,,,, with a short handle sledge hammer

Is the bush the bit the oil seal sits in
I presumme so before I start and thresh it

No, it sits over the cross shaft and is held in place by a pin, which in turn is secured with a spring clip- same each side. Slide the shaft across just enough and you will see the seal. Hoik it out with an O ring hook or similar, pop the new one in and repeat on the other side.

Took shaft out and popped seal out , is there any bushing in casting ,

Just pop the new seal back in and job done

Pulled the bushes and put new ones in

Yes, they are the bushes. They don't support the shaft correctly when worn. Replacing the seals alone is a short term fix. Well done..

Fffffffs Had hitch hooks off that bolt to pto housing , now Freed hooks off. Now got a weep , is there a gasket behind
