Jd 2650 low profile gears stuck

My wee 2650 appears to have got stuck in between the H pattern on the 1,2,3,4 gear stick. It’s stuck in 4th gear but the stick itself is in middle. After some asking at a dealer iv taken floor plate cover off and the cover off the stick. Dealer mechanic said to take it off and take the white part out to reveal a clip to take stick out and re align the gear pattern. I don’t want to go back and look stupid, but is there a technique to getting this white part out ?

Have you tried just lifting the lever up? I think the white bit in your picture is held to the lever with a grub screw, but there is possibly another bit missing that shoud be above it

I tried to lift it but wasn’t sure how much pressure I could put on

Now Then....
Have you removed the circlip and retainer, items11 & 12?? The white ball is fastened to the gearlever and will lift out with it..

Now Then....

No I haven’t yet. My father was the one that went to inquire at dealer to how fix it and was abit vague how to fix it. Will have another go thank you
