JD 6130r or Valtra G135v

Looking at both of these, similar age 6130r 2019, G135v 2020 and has a smig of warranty left. Both have self levelling loaders and front linkage, JD is 50k auto quad with 3000hr . Valtra 40k with 500rs, both have most of the bells and whistles and are almost identically priced. Any thoughts on which one has the edge? And yes I know the Valtra has a Chinese engine in.

If you are doing much loader work the Valtra will have far better visibility and a sweeter shuttle .
That was my thoughts, only thing putting me off was the 40k, but then I’ve never had a 50k tractor so what I don’t know and all that, and the residual value / longevity of the Valtra. our Deeres are all over 10,000 hrs, I don’t know if Valtra’s get that far on the clock.

Deere is a year older and 2500 hours more for the same money. It does sound like you're not really comparing similar ranges, but will the Valtra comfortably do what you need it to?
I wouldn't worry about the 50k thing, in fact if they're second hand I'd almost prefer the 40.
Deere will probably sell better if/when you replace it.
What are the local dealers like for parts and service? Deere outsell Valtra by a large margin in the UK (You don't have a location on your avatar) as a result parts and mechanic knowledge might favour JD.

The old saying, fancy a poker in another fireplace. Might regret it.
Are you trading another tractor in or buying an additional one?

Wouldn’t recommend trading down if you’re planning on swapping one, be very difficult to go back up the way of you don’t like the swap.

will the Valtra do 10k hours, I know the JD will with relative ease and still be worth something after that too

I don't see why most makes wouldn't do 10,000 hours if serviced regularly and operated correctly. O the flip side you can wreck something very quickly if you are a muppet.
That's why I'm not that keen on secondhand stuff.

Similar sub 600hr Deere in the same spec and age is almost 15k more expensive, the Deere is 800kg more than the G series but the N is 700kg more than the Deere and having demo’d one is a bit numb for tight work

Careful with deeres and weight, they can be heavier than you think if you are looking at base spec weight i don't think they ever build a base spec. And if deeres own loader that'll be about 300kg over a valtra for a start.
A 6130r deere is comparable size wise to upper end of n series range.

G series Valtra is definitely dyna 6 in hitec spec but I think the op was talking Vario? Not sure what the JD was, probably powerquad?
You need to compare like for like as others have said. The Valtra would be more compact and nimble with a Quicke loader which is much better than JDs offering. There are Valtras around with massive hours on them so no worries there. Horses for courses and dealer back up will be important.
