JD 6150R error codes

Hi all, long time watcher of the forum but never posted much before. Hoping some of the resident experts might be able to shed some light on this:

2015 JD 6150R
Autoquad
Approx 5000hrs

I have two persistent error codes which appear shortly after starting the tractor. I have cleared all the codes but these ones consistently come back.

Tractor is otherwise operating OK.
Both faults started appearing at almost the same time, perhaps a CANbus issue?

Thanks in advance.

The codes are related, you can ignore the sfa 1881.19 as this is caused by the HCC seeing a draft sensor fault (draft load alters the front suspension)

HCC 1881.04 is low signal voltage on the draft sensor, I couldn’t say exactly which way the wires run to the draft sensor on a 6150R as I’ve not had to pull one to bits but if it’s the same as a 20 and 30 series they have a habit of getting crushed behind the r/h lift ram. The draft sensors do have a habit of failing also! Ideally you need to go into the diagnostics and see exactly what the return voltage is to start with.

Thanks @Phil P, very useful info. Still have the hedge trimmer on so it's a bit crowded around the back end. Will take a closer look at the wires when it comes off.
Do you know which address in the HCC displays the sensor voltage?

It’s HCC 025 should be between 2.40v and 2.60v with nothing on the arms.

Technically it tells you to remove the arms also to set the draft voltage but personally I think that’s a little bit overkill.

Hi there @HCC . I have the same problem on a 6210R. Could you kindly let me know which part no. is the draft sensor guilty for the 1881.04 code? Thank you.

Problem is, asking local JD to come down for checking costs about the same as the sensor :) So better to ask them to come with the sensor directly.

Hi,
I have a 6920s and when attaching heavy implements like plough, it cannot hold it steady. It lifts and drops the rear hitch arms When the tractor is not moving… and does not seem to be not responsive to either setting from 5-1. Do you calibrate the draft sensor and what V should it be set?
Thanks
