Want to use our 7800 with an old DP7e (6 furrow) plough for a few acres a year. A setup we used many moons ago but the lift arms pick the plough up far to quickly IMO which has fractured the headstock. Is there a way to slow it down to a gentle raise!
Cheers

Yes.. you can set the ram sizes to different specs when you calibrate the hitch.. which model ?. 00 series you cant do much with the speed except maybe the ram size adjustment before the calibration.

Ill have a look when i can for an easier diy fix when im home. I think there will be an address with a value that can be altered for speed adjustment. Give me a few hours ill look later tonight.

Ffs I thought these jds were the dogs danglys, there's a dial on mfs with electric linkage to slow lift rate same as there is for drop rate
Would you like fries with that order of pee to go or just the awkward point that in the early 90s neither MF or JD fitted variable rate of lift?

I blame the plough, cracked our DP7 a couple of times with a MF 3645, although that was turning over too fast rather than lifting.

My 1991 3630 has variable lift rate
You can turn the flow down on the spools to stop the plough turning over too fast aswell (y) but yea sounds like a shite plough to me

I haven't seen that function on a 3600 or 3000 series linkage control before or is it not on the computer box with the other controls?

Slowing down turn over made the plough last indefinitely, but the convenient spool was the one without a detent, so had to hold it longer. Those masseys had a lot of good features, but they hadn't got the ergonomics to match them.

On Thursday 26th September, we’re holding a webinar for farmers to go through the guidance, actions and detail for the expanded Sustainable Farming Incentive (SFI) offer. This was planned for end of May, but had to be delayed due to the general election. We apologise about that.

Farming and Countryside Programme Director, Janet Hughes will be joined by policy leads working on SFI, and colleagues from the Rural Payment Agency and Catchment Sensitive Farming.
