Currently have my 6810 in for some transmission repairs after losing forward/ reverse. One thing we weren't sure on was whether this model (2001, LH reverser) had speed match on the gears? When you change range in say C4 to E it will automatically drop back to E1 unless you hold down the powershift button while changing range.

Was this how they were/ are? It's ok if you know about it but can easily catch you out as you can be travelling faster in C4 than you would be in E1....

Are you sure about the speed matching?

I only ever drove one 10 series with left hand reverse and button shift and it definitely didn't have it . I though it became a thing on the 20 series but I'm likely wrong

Are my bad, not a true electric shift,

but a stepper motor in stead

All the stepper motor is doing is moving the abcd range lever externally in stead of a cable, have you removed the bottom shift cover

The bottom shift cover is the culprit and why it's in for repair- F/R valve is stuck tighter than a tight thing. (it lost F/R drive).
