How come it’s ok for Clarkson to buy his 1000 acer spot and at the time it’s was probably a tax avoidance exercise as he didn’t have any interest in it until recently but other celebrities / non farming wealthy folks do similar there’s up roar on here ?
Then there’s James Dyson who seams to take an interest in his farms and he doesn’t get the lickings of a dog on here .
I seen all the episodes now and really enjoyed watching them. They said that they had harvested 550-600 acres , 75 sheep 50-60 acres max few bits of veg here and there , what’s he doing with the rest of his land ?

I would say there could be quite a bit of woodland. I think he said there was a few hundred acres of grass.

'Saviour of UK farming' : You are avin' a giraffe! Just how exactly?
Yes, undoubtedly the general public will side with us having watched his 'let's go farming series' but Jeremy Clarkson doesn't influence Government policy!
Clarkson acts the buffoon but he is no fool, his farm doesn't need to make a profit, Amazon Prime will reward him handsomely and good luck to him.
Meanwhile the rest of us at the pointy end struggle on...

I was being a tad ironic around the 'Saviour of UK farming'......

I've been having a look on my telly and it seems as if I can get a free 30 day trial or something, anybody know if that's straight forward or if there are any strings attached? I don't really want to be tied into something afterwards as I'm not a big telly watcher other than news, sport and music.

No issues with trials for Prime - Amazon will let you cancel any time. Maybe better to do the initial setup on your computer though - just buy a bottle of gin or something that gives the fast free delivery as well.

Of all the things you can take out a sub for Amazon Prime is the best value of the lot. We save loads of money just on deliveries alone. All the rest is a bonus.

Sign up and cancel immediately, from my memory the free trial still lasts however long it is meant to but you avoid charges at the end as you don't forget!

Up to episode 6 now ......... and the virtual RT inspection was making my teeth itch.

Jeez, they are getting petty - "What's in the black bag?" etc

Unless they are reigned in, I can see a farmer easily losing it when the inspectors are allowed back on farm.

local guy to me just nipped FA it in the bud, got fed up of them asking stupid questions,

i reassured him i had done the same 2 years ago!
