with the white stripe down its back, Gloucester cross.
but could be anything brown. Used to get 'striping' from crossing guernsey onto jersey.

decent looking animal though, as long as she milks well.

I would have said longhorn x had you not already confirmed it. Got several here.

We have 8 or so of them at the moment & they are al marked the same, Yes i think if you were in to beef cows they would make good ones

I've tried to encourage a few to try them as suckles but no interest. We finish them as they make damn good beef, better than pure longhorn in my opinion.

milked a lmx cross jersey, for a while, never really knew if she was going to stand there, and let you milk her, or kick your brains out. She didn't last long, got a calf on her, and sold her, saying calf was put on, and why. She didn't give a lot of milk either.

Spent enough time, in my younger days, breaking kickers in. With the introduction of holstiens, the temperament was so much better, didn't have to rope many at all, magical. Those old fr's and ayrshires, could be some comical bitches. Yet outside the parlour, some were like pets, and some were not, especially when fresh with their calf ! Ah, those were the days ................. not.

That lmx jer, was much more recent, simply not worth the risk, and sod roping them for days on end.
