We have some times had the bolts bend when you hit something so I all ways take them out and look now. If there bent they don't torque up right.

We have had are 1060 on are old 140hp mf 6480 to finish a job we were just down to 4km from 7/8km with the 6490 on it. But as said above a good steady pace wins the race going at it like bull at gate you are stopped all the time clearing the pickup. Put the best man on the rake he will make the job a lot easier.

60 series rotors required longer bolts due to a new rotor design then a Hardox tab washer was added in 2015 under the Bolt head, so a change in bolt again! They have altered them again this year due to a re design of the backing plate! Need to take great care when getting spare parts. All these changes are done to a huge increase in the no of acres/year, tractor HP and swath widths. Trailed machines aren't self propelleds'!

A 1060 on a TM 165 cleared 75 acres today 10 x 14+ ton trailers were just enough to keep it from stopping waiting . 1 hour turn round field to pit .

On Thursday 26th September, we’re holding a webinar for farmers to go through the guidance, actions and detail for the expanded Sustainable Farming Incentive (SFI) offer. This was planned for end of May, but had to be delayed due to the general election. We apologise about that.

Farming and Countryside Programme Director, Janet Hughes will be joined by policy leads working on SFI, and colleagues from the Rural Payment Agency and Catchment Sensitive Farming.

This webinar will be...
