Job Vacancy For Summer Harvest



Come and work for us on a 2000 acre modern family farm with an up-to-date fleet of John Deere tractors and buildings. The farm rotation is mainly wheat with OSR, sugar beet, beans, canary seed and miscanthus (for rhizome production) as break crops. The farm has also diversified into green energy with two 50kW wind turbines and 3 solar projects.


Main job will be Corn carting using brand new John Deere 6155R (due to be delivered in March like in picture). Applicant should be enthusiastic and willing to work overtime. Driving licence is required. Accommodation subject to agreement.

Current workforce comprises owner, son and 1 permanent worker.

Farm is located outside Spalding in south Lincolnshire PE11 3JH


Hourly rate is £8 standard and £12 overtime

On Thursday 26th September, we’re holding a webinar for farmers to go through the guidance, actions and detail for the expanded Sustainable Farming Incentive (SFI) offer. This was planned for end of May, but had to be delayed due to the general election. We apologise about that.

Farming and Countryside Programme Director, Janet Hughes will be joined by policy leads working on SFI, and colleagues from the Rural Payment Agency and Catchment Sensitive Farming.
