John Deere 155r fault HELP....

Screenshot_20241005-090358.png

I'm sure it's the 2nd code down.
Basically all been fine. Initially had an air brake fault. Then the pro won't select speed. Then went to take spreader off swap tractors and linkage wouldn't work. Then won't come out of park. Tls fault, fuel gauge not working. Sure I've even missed some.
Dealer been out had a brief look and get me towed out the way. Bit lost without more in depth look.
Any ideas?

With so many faults it sounds like a can-bus issue or something chewed through a harness!

Maybe a faulty CANBUS terminator. Where would one find it on the machine? God knows..... I'm sure @Tractortech would know.

A resistance test between the CAN hi and low wires with the battery disconnected may shed some light on the issue.

Actually, now that I think about it, have you tried turning it off and on again? i.e., disconnecting the battery for a while.

Yes had the battery disconnected for 10 mins. So glad it wasn't in the road. Only towed it out the way in the yard as it's auto power you have to manually release park under dash. Had to lift the spreader off after jacking up hitch to release it.

I was kinda hoping plugging it in might shed some light on where to start looking.... All was working fine then mass melt down.
Usually with so many faults you can narrow it down by looking at what they all have in common ie same can-bus (chassis or cab) same supply fuse or earth. The laptop isn’t necessarily going to tell you the exact fault but it will help narrow it down. A half decent tech should be able fairly quickly narrow down where fault is but it would take some diagnosing time not just an instant fix. These are very complicated systems with a lot of wires unfortunately.

I'm now wondering, I went to put the spare hedger on it a few weeks ago. Couldn't get anything to light up even though testing a good 12v everywhere on boards and controls . This is wired to the battery. I think there was a poor earth at the control box. Still not had a look at the hedger further as got another machine. As I've taken the other hedger off I'll back up the other tractor and try that.
Be wishful thinking it's 1 issue with the tractor that's causing all this is suppose....

Definitely check the battery terminals are clean. I had electric issues with my old 155 and it turned out the positive jump pole near the washer bottle was badly corroded on the battery terminal. I chopped it and did away with it.

Lots of faults all started occurring on the 724 here one day. Cleaned up the battery terminals- job sorted.
