sometimes the spool lever on our JD6420 gets a bit sticky, it goes into all 3 positions no issue, however it can take a good shake sometimes to bring it back to neutral.
after a bit of research i found this thread and i guess i need a bit of lubrication on those detent balls in the spool. https://thefarmingforum.co.uk/index.php?threads/john-deere-200-series-spool-valve-leak.305040/
I removed the bolts (red ring in photo) and thought the plastic cap would lift off but instead the entire green metal and plastic cap assembly, (encircled by yellow ring) began to lift as one, so i stopped. Dont want everthing underneath the cap flying around.
Does the plastic cap somehow detach from the green metal or do the two remove together. ?
