I will probably be frowned at for painting it but this is what it looked like when sold

Hello Roy
Like the pics, looked at pictures of your tractor many times whilst trying to find one to buy.
Where did you get the stack from, I've looked around but couldn't find any thing with the flange mounting on the bottom, they do sound amazing with a straight through exhaust .

It came from Vapourmatic through Rea Valley tractors, must admit it was much louder than I expected, alright in trhe cab as the noise is directed away, however villagers and equestrian types were less than impressed, it also set off all the PIR lights through the village, the place looked light Blackpool illuminations when I came in from late haymaking one night :(

I still have the exhaust and will fit it up to my 4050 some day soon !

That's cool I will give vapourmatic a try,did yours fit straight on to the manifold or did you have to modify it, only most I've seen are just straight slip on types and don't have the same clamp arrangement.
How many hrs did you have on your 42 when you sold her

the vapourmatic one comes with a clamp but was flared at the bottom, I cut the flare off to fit and clamped it up, unsure of hours as it had the clock renewed at some time in it's life, there was a fair bit of wear in it so I would imagine over 10,000
