John Deere 4600 screen v1 vs v2 processor differences

I am close to closing the deal for JD 6145R with 4600 screen and Premium activations so I would like to know what am I getting if I decide to buy v2 processor and install it ?

What is v1 missing that requires only v2 processor ? Is there a list or something ?

One thing I have read is that with v2 this joystick in the tractor can be used as ISOBUS joystick with buttons, so not only as E-SCV hydraulic joystick ?

Thanks

I know that there was an issue with the v1 processors, very rare but occasionally something would trigger them to die (we think possibly low battery or fluctuation of voltage somewhere) and it would show a black screen, only happened to me once on a 8345RT

No there are differences functionwise. I think JD Sync does not work with v1 processor. And there are other things so people buy new v2 processor.

I would like to know what are differences so I know if I need to upgrade.

Jump starting or trying to start with a low battery would commonly kill em.

Nobody did this upgrade to tell what were the improvements ?
Did you upgrade to V2? I am looking for an answer to the same question. Are the isobus functions on the joystick working and can iTec functions be assigned to the buttons on the joystick?

Only just spotted this, I had my processor updated back when the dealer was running a program to do it.

The only differences I can see is I now get highlighted tramlines on the guidance, it enables turn automation (ultimate activation only) and I think it enables different scv’s to be assign to the joystick but it may have done that before the update I can’t remember.

Biggest benefit for me though was the highlighted tramlines for when I’m drilling.

When you put v2 processor then you cna update on latest software version and also you will have all functions like new models, that is the point of upgrading.
You can assign ISOBUS functions I think on all v2 machines.
