John deere 6125m service interval timer

Fairly sure the transmission service interval in our 6430 is 1500 hours
Well as pointed out 750 for the filters and 1500hrs for all the oils and filters. (y)
The 6120 here gets done by the book! (y)
Haha, you wouldn't believe some of the stuff we see on a daily basis, or maybe you would. It does seem that customers have recently got far more willing to service tractors by the book rather than run into the ground. Maybe the signs of a changing economic situation, who knows I'm not into this political stuff.

Going a little of topic, but the 6120 is a cracking little tractor, it sounds like yours is well serviced like.

Yes, a 6120SE. I bought it new in 04. It's done 4500 hrs. now, and still looks like new. Almost...
Never had anyone on it apart from myself. As you say, a cracking little tractor that seems to punch above it's weight!

I hope it's only barely run in. I wouldn't like to be parting with the price of a new one today! :nailbiting:

Although, I do like the look of the 6MC and 6RC tractors, despite never having seen one in the flesh yet!

Mate of mine has a 6120 SE. Has been turned up a little and until recently was running the feeder wagon for a 350+ cow dairy herd. Busiest tractor on the place and it's never put a foot wrong. They've semi retired it to straw chopper/topper etc now and I can see it still being there in another 10 years.

I go the other way with transmission filters in my 6230 and change at 500 hours. It's not an enormous extra cost as tractor only does 500 hours a year (and last year not that) but with constantly changing loader attachments and sharing tipping trailers with other farms (as well as a McLandini that uses HyTran in the backend) I find a noticeable slowing in hydraulic performance if I don't.

There was a few software updates for these models early on which made the service reminder work better. There will be a dtac case on it. Maybe call your local dealer and ask if they can check up if they have been completed. Or i can grab the dtac case number for you.

The menu on the display works horizontally if that makes sense. Push the menu and picture the page going side ways. Then scroll down the page to more options with the arrow keys.

Confused think it may be a dealer job. Ours must of had this software update because it hasn't even got address vtv045 its a bad job when u need a dealer to reset a service timer

Now Then..
VTV000916 - Information for operator, service interval.
This information for the operator (DTC) is generated if the control software detects that the set service interval has expired (triggered 20 hours in advance)
I presume the alarm goes off 20 hours before the 250 hour mark,,, seems too early to me really. It'll take a while to silence.. :-(

Yes i think so although i cant be sure on that as i don't drive it much i was looking through addresses yesterday and i think that address was there do u just go to edit and put it back to zero?

This is the address you need: VTV045 service interval setting. Change to zero, then change back to the desired interval e.g. 500
Tried that after reading your post, how do you get it to save changes? Went to VTV.045 hit edit changed all values and then it goes to a book symbol but there is no icon to save changes how is it done? My error message also has address of VTV.916.14 which doesn't exist in the book or on the message center.
