Looking at changing a tractor to either a new m series John Deere 4cylinder 6140m or a Massey 6716.

Does anybody have any experience in both a 4 pot John Deere vs the Massey.

Like the Deere but worried about the 20hp less?

In my experience the sisu engine will be betr than the deere and should be plenty powerful and more economical to run. The massey suspension is really smooth but the powerquad deere is the best tranny out ther

I have a MF 6616 it has plenty of power for a 4 cylinder, pulls 14 tonne of wheat, 5 furrow kuhn vari width plough no problem, as usual massey hydraulics really good, really good on road at 50k good suspension, cab lets it down now though, to many blind spots and bit noisy. If I was going to swap it would not be another massey though (partly down to dealer not tractor)

To be honest the cab is main reason to move away from MF I hate the linkage rocker and the stupid pedals.
, Deere is more money for less hp.

You can’t fault a new Deere really, not had much to do with Masseys but the 7600 series were awful to drive and layout was bad.
