Hi folks
Just wondering could anybody help me with my tractor before I seek specialist help.
2005 John Deere 6620 Autopower - 8000 hours, on a long road run I got a warning light on dash “transmission oil temperature too hot - check oil and filter” also at the same time “fault at cruise control potentiometer - see dealer”. It stated to lose a lot of power and gear change was very rough. I managed to limp the tractor home and after a few hours cooling it drove normal again but I only done a short run to check it. Yesterday I changed transmission oil and filters to check for dreaded filings but luckily there was none which leads me to believe that there is something wrong with the transmission cooling system which is cooking the oil and make it drive bad. Anybody any similar experiences with 20 series? I’m hoping my Autopower isn’t on the way out as I’m told they are a fortune to replace,
Thanks Ryan
