Hi
I'm looking at buying an old johndeere 6620 as a restoration project, the seller says its done 11000 hours but I think its done over 20k hours, is there anyway without a laptop of noing if its been around the clock once or twice,
Many thanks

Look at it's service history? Does the clock not just keep going up rather than going round again on those?

Its got the first 2 services in the service history then he's done it himself, they get to 10k and go back to 0 but I thought there was something that flashes when it goes around the clock

I thought ours was reading about 10500 but will have to check now. Even if he's done the work himself there should be records, I know they're easier to make up though

Restoration project,I use one to do half my arable work along with my 7710.mine is 17 years old and about 4500 hours and it’s been a great tractor with no real issues apart from odd broken pipe under cab, rear linkage wear and a new radiator

Is there 2 different types of engine, or cylinder head in the 6620's. I used to drive a couple one would in my early 20s both were bought new. One was an absolute beast, and the other was a dead duck even when it had the chip it still wasn't quite the tractor the other was.

Yes they went from 2 valve to 4 valve around 2004 I seem to remember. Might even have been a little earlier.
