The engine on our 6820 has started what i would describe as hunting, not running smooth , been power harrowing and plenty of power, water temp ok .

Things that will make it hunt -
Fuel hose perished, O-ring missing off glass bowl, contacts on rail pressure sensor, tank gauze blocked, filters blocked, scv needs replacing.

We had that and it was the suction control valve as phil says. It's a denso part, can be got online alot cheaper than from deere
