I have a JD 6930 and the engine is giving off a hot oil smell like its getting hot. The engine oil was changed around 100hrs ago.
The smell is not always obvious but seems worse when the tractor has been running on low revs like when filling the sprayer.
I had the tractor remapped by the derv doctor and egr deleted last year and its really since then that I have had the oil smell. Tractor has done 3000hrs and is otherwise fine. Anyone any ideas what's causing this? TIA

Fresh oil will very often smell more. Our 6920 breathes a bit which causes the smell.

Yes, but new oil normally only smells for the first few days. This will continue until 250hrs. The oil is a quality Total product. It's been fine before and in other machinery.
