John Deere 750a

4m machine to latest spec (90 series coulters, gauge wheels etc) Gutlers closers and needham ag v8 firming wheels

8k spent in 2013 rebushing, removing all wear and replacing bearings to as new condition, will need nothing but wearing metal for the next 10k acres at least now

news discs august 2014 that will have done circa 1500ac

green star drill cw brown box (universal harness available for non JD tractor users)

Professionally fabricated hopper extension and frame strengthening to manufacturer standard

£25,000 ready for work

Can be made available complete with as new 2014 liquid Fert system by S&K sprayers, front linkage or rear frame mounted tank, very tidy and professional installation.

also mounted Stocks Wizzard advadex / slug pellet applicator

the above would be at additional near new cost however as I want them on my new drill so would have to replace

can be seen working for about the next 10 days !

will add some recent pics latter but this video is a couple of weeks ago, this drill was owned from new by @Simon Chiles and them myself, quite possibly the most photographed and discussed zero-till drill in the UK !!! A fantastic bit of kit that has transformed the way I farm and levels of profitability whilst improving my soils for ever.

An ideal opportunity for anyone considering the zero-till route without spending a fortune, the drill is as happy in mintill and even on ploughing offering ultimate flexibility in a transition period

Will come with as much help and advice as you need

What are you replacing it with ? Would be really interested but probably has came onto the market a few months earlier than i was planning.

another 750a will be the replacement, an increase in work load means we simply need more output so have to go wider to at least 6m or maybe even wider

this drill has been well on top of over 2000ac of work without silly hours so has plenty of output under the right cropping system

I'm in no rush to sell, as long as it was gone before the new one arrived which won't be until March 15 ish (in fact I would rather keep it until then just in case ideally !)

I'm actually not too fussed about selling, it would make a very good back up for us but really should move it on

When you say it's a green star drill what does that offer? Can it be run through a 2630 screen?

The greenstar drills offer a lot more information and easier/ better calibration to the user, work with JD field doc if you use it

I believe they do work with newer screens as well but brown box included with my drill sale which could be sold if you didn't need it or with the addition of a Starfire reciever and a autotrac unlock could also be a cheap way into steering for someone !

The brown box already has an autotrac unlock code so in a pre MY12 autotrac ready tractor with a receiver would fully auto steer. This older green star drill computer had more useful features on it than the new ones do ( Wake up JD ) such as seed remaining and two different types of low level alarms that make this drill an operators dream.

@jack6480 I think it could be the way to go , to get through this work load ! Just need to take your mate round with us to convince #tell the customers it's the way to go !!! Will it drill grass seed direct in to turf, stubble and in to powerharrowed ground ?
