John Deere compressed air pressure drop

Hello,

We are running a 6930 MY2011 and a 6210R MY2014. Both of them build the air pressure up to 8 bar on gauge and when the engine stops, they both lose pressure in about 20 minutes and pressure gauge goes to 0. Is this normal behavior or they should remain pressurized for a longer period of time? I know nothing about air pressure braking system. Thank you.

No, they should hold air, you ought to hear where the hissing is coming from if dumping it that fast. Susi connectors with an airline fitting is a common one, water bleed valve on the bottom of the air tank can get muck in and leak. It's a pretty simple system so should be easy to find. The tractors themselves don't run on air actuators, so don't worry about it affecting those brakes, it's an auxiliary system for trailers. Fairy liquid mixed with 80% water squirted on the unions will soon identify smaller leaks
