Just changed the original single O-ring in one of the rear couplers on my JD 6506 for a two part (o-ring +backup ring) and it now leaks worse than before. Are there different o-rings for these hydraulic couplings and did the JD dealer give me the wrong possibly thinner type? :scratchhead:

I know its doing their job for them but looks on the JD parts website. It will give you any different options.
The JD parts website shows the same part number for the different deluxe or standard spools. But watching a YouTube of a US mechanic/farmer fitting them to a JD he reckons there is sometimes a slight thickness difference between US imperial sized O-rings and metric ones.:scratchhead: Probably just quicker to replace the spool I guess.

Now Then..
Have you been supplied with the kit with the blue back up ring (AL205022) ??

I would say that you need R83630 which is 20.2184mm ID with a cross section of 3.5306mm
