John Deere loader

I recently fitted a loader to a John Deere 6600. Sense fitting the tractor seems to be sluggish on the road. It doesn’t seem to be pump oil the whole time as the pipes don’t seem to get very hot when tractor is being used. Should there a non return valve fitted to the ls line?

What make of loader is it?? New or second hand?? What have you connected it to at the back of the tractor (a picture would be good here)..
I assume you have the transmission oil at the correct level and not too full??

It’s second hand. The pipes at the rear. The left is the pressure and the right is the return. Small pipe is load senceing. The ls slice screw was screwed out half a turn from fully right. Should possibly the flow and return be connected into where the ls line goes?
