John Deere reducing dealerships

No, what i was referring too was the global nature in which they are pulling parts from to build machines, in ww2 everything deere built was made in usa.

These companies havent planned for this, MAN trucks got caught with the harnesses being made in uk, they couldnt supply Australia.

How things change in 40 years or so. I don’t need to state the obvious - Farmers like to deal with someone they know. Back in the day with many dealerships one could deal directly with the dealer principal, which is why JD were so successful in Hampshire. Roger Hunt at Chilbolton, John Seale at Froxfield, and Henry Richardson with his partners Dan Tanner and Mike Smales at New Forest. Now I would’t have a clue who runs New Forest Hunt!
