In advance of the forthcoming Johnes conference next month, as many dairy farmers as possible are encouraged to complete this simple and anonymous survey

I've done it and it only takes a couple of minutes although I did criticise a couple of questions where some available responses were 2 statements in 1 and I agreed with part of it but not the other bit!

I ticked the box that fitted best but in the free text section but in my own words the answer that I wanted

Yes , filled that in yesterday. I was surprised at how a lot of the possible answers were biased towards a negative response ,or was it me?

Dairy UK has been encouraging all members (ie dairies) that are signed up to the Johnes control programme to find out the Johnes status of their producers as a starting point. As the conference is early next month there are probably some who realise they have not done it yet - our dairy sent us a similar one about 4 months ago.

The next conference will focus on getting farmers that are not doing anything yet to start doing something to control Johnes - hence the interest in farmer attitudes to the disease.
