I was doing some Lego and thought I could hear a door swinging to and fro. More investigation showed it was me. I creak when I move.

I've always had a clicky jaw and wrist. Now my knees crack when I bend them fully or do squats at the gym. In the last six months I've noticed my shoulders also grind. If I reach straight up and bring my arms to my side like making angel wings I can hear them grind.

I'm 39. And reasonably active. Good diet. Mix of aerobic and light weights three times a week. Is this just old age? Nothing hurts - just noisy!

Anything I can do?

Join the club, my knees (when kneeling on our wooden floor) make a hell of a sound
Some of the flaxseed/ healthshop type of supplements seem to help, I can't be sure which ones as I take a few different ones :cautious:
I take kelp, flaxseed and fish oil ones from time to time, I think the kelp ones level my head and the flax and fish help the body.

I kinda expect my body to fail, as I've broken and dislocated nearly everything :( but I am only just behind you in age.

Might be the start of osteoarthritis, my knees are going, scrunch like hell when I'm bending them with weight on, swollen too though, fluid in the joint, been given some physio to do.

I've seen the proof of WD40 working, but the old boy was in his nineties and wasn't too worried about the long term effects. He was more mobile though. :)
Used to get an old girl come into stores and buy it for her knees. Sure its the cold aerosol effect rather than the water content!.
