J Charnley and Sons? Or something like that. Was a whole article in Classic Tractor about them few years back.Made with Leyland/Marshall components ? Made by a former Marshall dealer from Lancashire ? I forget the name.
Makes you wonder what a project like that would have cost. And wether selling 20 tractors would have got them their money back
Yes, Will sadly recently died. Bought a few mccormicks through Will at charnleys, always good to deal with and happy to show you round their museum. Had never seen a JWD before then or knew they existed. Apparently there is one somewhere in the Durham area though.JWD were put together by Charnleys , using Perkins engines and Leyland/Marshall parts bought from the receivers , again.
I think I have recently seen the death reported in some of the tractor mags of one of the Charnley Brothers ?
