Have you asked a price for a new one? Might surprise you.
I was looking for a second hand euro style sliding one. Second hand never the one I wanted or crazy money. I bid at one on an auction which in hindsight was the wrong one and got outbid at €600 or so (lucky escape!). Bought a brand new spanker for €650 in the end.
