Got an mds 701 here which I think is similar. We couldn't get the agitator inside the hopper off so we cut the shaft level with the discs and welded it back together after replacing the bearing.

Agitator will unscrew from the shaft and lift up remember the grub screw holding it in place also one side is right hand thread the other left. Disc then comes off easily and also yellow plate it’s attached to, think this is held on the shaft with a roll pin. Undo all the bolts around the cover plates of the drive to the disc. It will lever off as it’s all sealed with silicon. Bearings then easy to do.

I would replace all the seals at the same time. Sure there’s kits in the parts book. May as well do the agitator bearings whiles it’s apart. Don’t forget some silicon sealant when you put it back together.

It’s not too bad at all to do. I did mine last year and I’m no engineer
