Kubota Loader troubles

Hi, bit of advice would be appreciated. Currently use a Kubota Loader (L3040 I think) at work for shoveling aggregates & building materials and it's having a sort of cut of(stalling issue) most of the time it works great, but a few times just lately it seems to cut out or stall itself.

1)when it first started doing it I thought it was because I was using the hydraulics at the same time as driving it so just assumed it needed a few more revs. That would work but only every now and again

Sometimes I can be stationary (in neutral clutch raised) and using the Loader will all of a sudden kill it

Sometimes I can put it in gear (it's a power shuttle style) and even before the clutch has been raised to drive it, it'll again cut out as if it was stalled but before the clutch was even raised (with the handbrake off as I know on this if its in gear with the handbrake on it stalls)

Finally sometimes it'll do it as I'm driving along without using the Loader, pressing the clutch will keep it alive but as soon as its raised to continue traveling it goes to cut out again

Can't seem to get my head round as to why it does it, could there be some minor debris in the fuel tank that finds its way through the lines?

ANY help is appreciated. Cheers

I know my kioti has a cut out switch that is activated by the seat, Id start there? Just find it and by pass it. On my kioti I stuck a wire into both terminals. It could be anything ie fuel, hyd, but you will have to eliminate things too.

If its stationary, is it ok?
If its not the switch, I'd look at pipes, banjos etc and see if any air is getting into the sytem?
You'll get there!

Would the cut out switch be weight activated? So when the person moves off it, it kills it as a precaution, it's used by multiple people of different weight but I'm the lightest so would I need to adjust it on the seat?

Sounds like it's not getting enough fuel. Has the fuel filter been changed lately?
As far as I'm aware it was serviced about 30 ish hours ago, the weird part is that I never had any trouble before it was serviced, I don't know if its coincidence that now after the service it sometimes plays up, it's not as if I drive it any different to how I did pre service or since I was taught to use it. Could there be a fuel issue then that would need to be looked at. Thanks

You could have something floating in the tank ,which sticks to the suction pipe at the bottom, then it vacuums itself to the pipe, when The engine shut down the object let’s go, and then repeat itself . If we had this problem with the pipe cut the end off on a V shape so nothing can stick to it.or you could have a filter on the bottom of it ,always start at the start like the fuel tank on a fuel issue not in the middle of it like fuel filters injectors pumps , Fuel filters can be the main problem but where the inlet pipe comes into the top Filter housing just make sure there is not any objects in the pipe . If you do Fixit let us all know what the outcome ,So we can all learn from it

I dont think you can adjust the sensor, I had to bypass it as my kioti would stop every time you jumped off, it got too annoying.
If your saying this is only acting up since the service, then its most likely the fuel filter, which barleycorn rightly says might not be seated enough. Just give it a tighten or loosen it and retighten it.
It could be anything. Just a process of elimination.
Id keep the tank full until your sorted.

Ah right I see, I'll have to have a look and see what's what with it, be nice to get it right again, makes you look unprofessional when you're loading someone and it cuts out

Ah right that makes sense thinking about it, I'll have to take a look and get back to you on this, nothing is ever straight forward is it

Just a quick update, I didn't realise until now I put the model number wrong, its a L5040 not 3040 as originally stated, thanks for all the replies that have been coming through, appreciate all the help, still learning these things being only 21.

Still the same filter arrangement anyway. A plastic bowl with a cartridge filter inside. Easy to unscrew and check for dirt and water and see if the oring is intact.
