You will get away with 20.8 tyres in old money.had h 4 boards on last Kuhn plough and 650 will go down furrow but I was never happy with the result.woukd be ok if desperate though.now on lb bodies and 650 tyres are fine

Have run a 6f 122 and still use a 5f 121 and have never really had a complaint about the job it makes with 650s on h4 bodies. We always comment how nice a job it makes. Would not let it put you off definitely.

All depends on soil type and the conditions. Some days 580/70r38s are fine, others they are too wide and whatever you do it's not right.
I really don't like 600/65r38s, the contact patch is too wide for its length. They'll float ok, but they won't bite in and grip.

agreed 520/70 or 580/70 are far better tyres(y)
front furrow will damn near aways be flat ploughing leys with anything more than a 520, that said just crack at as long as your not a perfectionist you will get it good enough to do most of the time ;)

If it's not perfect, it's not good enough. I plough on 13.6s at home.

we have a set of 13.6 for ploughing with a oneway plough aswell:X3:520 works are not to bad though we actually changed a tractor for 600/65r38 to 520/70r38 with ploughing in mind...and cost 600 are bloody expensive
