Kuhn mower 540 or 1000

Kuhn fc302 mower. With the tractor having the 540 pto shaft on it should the selector on the tractor be at 540 or 1000rpm to drive the mower correctly?

1000rpm on any fc302 we have ever had anyway.

540 on the 6 spline end 1000 with the gearbox turned round on the 21 spline end

Originally it was supplied with a pto shaft with 6 spline and 21 spline ends.
To run with tractor in 540 you turn the gearbox to 21 spline at front.
Vice versa for 1000. Turn the gearbox around with 6 spline to front and 21 connected to tractor.
