Kuhn/Taarup bio balers

Neighbor runs one - 2014 I think.
It runs pretty well - good for baling hilly fields, as it is compact!
First year models were full of issues, but much better now.
They require are a lot more power than you’d think - don’t really understand why, but neighbor was running it with a JD6620, and he said it took all of its power.

Same gearbox as the deutz stanard baler mp130 when we had it. Rolers and all interchangeable. Got a spurious gearbox from Maurice Reid machinery for alot less than dealer.

I thought it might be to light and not have the power for hilly or wet ground. My 6155r autopwr is in its knees in similar territory with same Baler.

A you can go a gear slower you know, my 6130 handles some steep land around here. It’s only a baler with a lightweight wrapper on the back can’t see the need for so much horsepower nowadays.

It was about 12 years ago iirc and the main problems were electrical gremlins and for some reason it was prone to pulling wet grass between the rollers which means a bearing off job to release it. It also must be said that the bales werent as heavy as the jd 575 it repaced
Any problems with blocking after the grass goes through the knives and before it reaches the first roller on the floor
