Got my eye on a Kuhn vari master auto reset plough, it's a 6 furrow (5+1) how easy is it to drop the extra furrow off with it being vari width as sometimes I will just want 5 furrows ! Anyone done this ? TIA
We have a multi master, so none vari width but has hydraulic break back, it would not be a big job un bolting the back furrow. Would just need to blank off the pipe going to break back. I guess it would be similar on a vari width just with extra linkage to undo.
Yes, it’s easy to drop the rear furrow off. Undo the pin securing the variwidth linkage, undo the bolts holding the rear furrow to the frame and lift it out of the way. Then just unscrew the rod of the variwidth which is inside the beam.
