Lamb creep

Just coming up to time to put creep feeder out, used a nut for the last 2 years and find lambs slow to start, so looking for more a course mix (always found calves take course quciker), any recommendations? Wynnstay do a pedigree lamb mix, but anything else out there?

I just use the same feed as I give ewes until they're eating and then start mixing in pellets until I put on pellet only.

I use rolled barley mixed with hipro soya and minerals. That is pretty much what you find in some nuts anyway.

I buy a bag or two of flaked maize and mix a little in the creep pellets to help get them started before moving on to a home mix.

add a dusting of vacuum salt to what ever you feed , rolled barley / ddg is what i use here to start .

lol yea get your point ,
we start them in those plastic pig feeders , we converted a couple back to back with roof over , only salt for first week or so (3-4 week old ) then use normal creep feeders .
