Lamb with Red Teeth

One lamb, one or two days old started scouring this morning, on inspection, teeth and gums seem very red, twin is healthy. Any observations welcome

That does look oversized for the space available, how long born in the picture?

mother lambed midday....thought she just had a single....4pm saw her straining....head foward but legs back...came quite easily.....about 40 mins old in photo....can suck bottle

It’s just swollen, with the head being out etc I bet it’s been clamped. It will go down. Seen them with heads like a foot ball, ewes swollen shut, tongue so swollen you’ve got to hold mouth open and it down or they choke. But they all come good by next day.

Teeth that size at just a day or 2 old


The lamb is just teething. Keep an eye on it, but should be fine

I have just looked at the twin, (forgot phone so no pic) but teeth are roughly the same size, (I do think they look big for 2 days,) but definitely not red. Pen + Strep is our friend
